When Purchasing A New Home…

My wife and I have been in the market for a new home and we’ ve been looking at some old victorian style houses. In many of older houses, there is simply a range against a wall with no exhaust fan at all. And on many of these homes, there is a gaping hole in the wall which is actually a duct. This very feature has excited me tremendously because I know that if I purchase one of these homes with the duct hole I will be able to install the kitchen exhaust fan of my chosing. And it doesnt have to be a ductless kitchen exhaust fan. With the amount of cooking I do, I should get an industrial range hood but it may not match with the rest of my layout.
